Family Practice Ortho ResponsibilitiesMedical Assistant, under the supervision and general direction of the providers, utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience to provide direct patient care and assist providers in the delivery of world-class medical care.
Provides direct care to patients in accordance with existing policies and procedures Ensures that patient charts are prepared properly before patient visits Effectively rooms patients and collects all relevant and necessary information for providers to make informed decisions Contributes to the assessment of patient's health status by collecting, recording, and reporting objective and subjective data Works effectively with providers and patients to schedule surgeries, imaging, lab, etc.
Completes pre-authorization for all procedures or testing to ensure effective reimbursement Communicates and interacts with all customers (patients, visitors, co-workers, administrative staff, and physicians) in a positive and supportive manner QualificationsMinimum Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Registered or Nationally certified Medical Assistant or able to obtain within 60 days of hire BLS certification Preferred Job Requirements:
Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution Maintain training in venipuncture, if required Recommended Skills Administration Basic Life Support Certified Medical Assistant Health Care Imaging Nurse Education Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
